Vaccines help prepare your pet's immune system and protects them from dangerous and fatal diseases. While California state law requires all dogs be vaccinated for Rabies, there other vaccinations that can protect your pet from serious but preventable diseases. Consult us today to find out what vaccines are recommended for your pet based on their age, medical history, environment, travel habits, and lifestyle.
Annual core vaccinations include Rabies, DA2PP (Distemper/Parvo), and Bordetella, along with a current fecal test to look for parasites. For cats, core vaccinations include Rabies, FVRCP, also along with current fecal test.
Additional vaccinations for dogs that accompany you while hiking or camping include the rattlesnake vaccine and the Lyme vaccine (tick-borne disease). Dogs that attend doggie day care or boarding facilities may also benefit from the canine influenza vaccine.
